This database contains selected decisions from the District Court of New South Wales. Before 2004, these decisions were exclusively appeals made by pharmacists against the disciplinary findings and/or orders made by the Pharmacy Board of New South Wales. The headnote to each appeal decision has a link back to the relevant Pharmacy Board decision.
Pharmacy Board appeal decisions are provided within one month of being published. All such appeals in this database are post the 1989 amendments to the Pharmacy Act 1964, which substantially reformed the Board's disciplinary structure and enabled it to act as a self-funding statutory corporation. Only a relatively small number of the Pharmacy Board decisions are the subject of a District Court appeal and in some of those cases, the appeal is withdrawn or settled before the hearing.
Decisions are sent on a weekly basis. A separate Court database is not available. See the Court site for further information concerning the Court.
